Peikko delivers rock foundations to Tellenes wind park in southern Norway

Peikko Group’s Norwegian subsidiary Peikko Norge AS has received a substantial order for rock foundation technology for Tellenes wind park in Rogaland area in southern Norway. Peikko is responsible for the foundation design as well for delivering all foundation components including FATBAR Rock Anchors, tower adapter plate and foundation reinforcement. The deliveries are scheduled between August 2016 and March 2017. 

The investor of the project is BlackRock and Zephyr AS is developing the wind park. The main contractor is Stangeland. Maskin. Skanska is responsible for foundation construction. Siemens delivers to Tellenes 50 pieces of WT-3.2MW-113 turbines with hub heights of 93 meters. The wind park will be operational in August 2017. Google has bought the entire 12-year power production of the Tellenes wind park to supply its European data centers with renewable energy.
